Cheer Bows

Cheer bows

Cheer bows that use sequin are a big hit with cheerleaders.  All you need is some sequin fabric that is then attached to the ribbon and made into a hair bow.  They are much easier to make than you would think.  I have yet to meet a young girl that doesn’t like glitz and the sparkles that the sequins provide.  If you want to make these types of bows and need instructions, check out Cheer Bow Instructions.  There are a few different types of cheer bows if you want more options than the bows with sequin.  You can also make long tail cheer bows, if you want something that has lot of ribbon that will flip and flop around as you cheer.

Remember that when making cheer bows, if they are going to be used during competition they cannot contain any metal.  In my cheer bows course, I show you exactly how to make these cheerleading bows so you don’t have to worry about ANY metal in them.  They will use plastic and are safe to wear while cheering.  This is really important because you don’t want your girls to be disqualified from competing because their bow was not compliant with the rules of the competition.

Besides the competition bows, girls also love to wear bows to school the day of a big football or basketball game.  They also love to wear them for cheering at these games and even during practice too.  No cheering session is really complete without a beautiful hair bow to complement the outfit and be something fun that can bounce around atop a girl’s head.

Where can you find the fabric for cheer bows. I did get some sequins material from Joann’s but can’t find to many other fabrics to use. Any suggestions?

I love all the sequin fabrics at JoAnns! I also get their spandex type fabric (that is pretty much like a swimsuit material) because those colors are so bright and work really well! The sequins are typically the favorite for most cheerleaders though! :)
