Making a feathered hair clip as a hair clip accessory gives you different kinds to choose from. It can be an ostrich feather or a peacock feather. You can also use these feathers to accessorize other things like your clothes, purse, jewellery, and so many other things that you can think of. These are super trendy right now especially for teenagers but I’ve also seen them on infants which are just adorable.
Hair clips that have feathers on it can be quite expensive. Price ranges from fifteen dollars to fifty dollars depending on the design of the clip and how extravagant they were created. But, with your creativity and right tools, you can make a feathered hair clip without spending too much and most importantly, you can make it with the design of your choice.
How to Make a Feathered Hair Clip
You can start by cutting two strands of a wide ribbon, about ½-inch wide that would fit on a hair clip. Then, using a glue gun, stick the ribbon strand on top of the hair clip. Let it dry. You will then glue the tip of the peacock feathers on the strand of ribbon. Make sure to place the feathers perpendicular to the hair clip so that it would extend upwards. After letting it dry, put another layer of peacock feathers on the ribbon strand, but this time, extending downwards. Then, put the remaining strand of ribbon on the tips of the feather using the hot glue. Allow this to dry. To accessorize the feathered hair clip further, put rhinestones across the strand of ribbon to add glamour and sparkle to the feathered hair clip. You now have your feathered hair clip.
